      The students are expected to be talented and educated to the point that merely sniffing the air in the direction of a network jack will reveal most bugs to them.

      That and teaching them how to deal with unrealistic bosses

        They may be good but they're not that good. It takes 45 years to learn to deal with unrealistic bosses and its called retirement.

    This is the United States we're talking about. As an alum, I assure you that MIT eliminated all alcohol on campus over a decade ago, and even banned it at private parties. Fun is not allowed.
