back to article Chinese bloke escapes execution for Forbidden City nude photo shoot

A Chinese artist will likely not be strapped to a gurney and injected with a lethal cocktail of chemicals, despite the best efforts of Western news outlets and the local Twat-O-Tron to suggest a nude photo shoot at Beijing's Forbidden City might represent a surefire shortcut to the execution chamber. According to The Mirror, …

A full and obviously intentionally bared ear has slipped past the censor too! It's outrageous. I shall be cancelling my subscription immediately.

    re. NSFW link

WANIMAL's pics have a dull and lifeless quality with no technical or composition merit that I can see. Are my tastes improving or am I just jaded?

I haven't looked yet but if the photos are full of TNA then I think you're missing the point.

        Nooooo!

        Not TnA -- it's Artistic!

(best one is the pic of a painting of George Washington -- I can't get over GW having a huge camel-toe and the most impressive thing in the painting is the horse's arse)

Your tastes are definitely improving... I was also very unimpressed, great subjects, but poor composition.

For a minute there I thought you'd confused your Chinese and Japanese smut, as I read "no technical" as "no tentacle" for some reason...

    Hats Off

to the model for enduring that suspension business.

I wonder if I can get Mrs Bongo Joe to hang like that from the IKEA light socket on the ceiling?

    Surely you jest

I can't really believe that the bloke's name was Wang Dong. Some mistake, surely?

    Pasties.

I've looked everywhere in Cash'n'Carrion for those El Reg Pasties in which the model is attired, but can't find them anywhere.

Pray tell me, where can some be obtained?

  8. MrXavia

I wouldn't call it a smut shoot... Just amateurish photography from a guy with a boob fixation...

Nowt wrong with a bit of nude photography, but maybe he could take a photography class first?

    Censorship Bill

    http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/bills/lbill/2015-2016/0008/16008.pdf

Is The Register going to register as a pornographer? And in every country in the world that enacts anything similar? Criminal penalties if not. This Bill looks like it will happen now that the political brakes are off.

The bill has extra-territorial measures and if other countries enact similar laws then international travel will become a nightmare but not even staying at home will protect you from European Arrest Warrants or countries with no safeguards extradition arrangements like the USA.r

      Re: Censorship Bill

I'm curious as to how the UK government proposes to impose and enforce a licensing requirement on a foreign pornographic service provider given that by definition the provider is outside the UK jurisdiction.

" It shall be a defence to any claims, whether civil or criminal, for an internet service provider or mobile phone operator to prove that at the relevant time they were—"

Well at least they are honest with this one and say it up front.

You ARE guilty unless you can prove your own innocence.

I've suspected this with recent UK laws of late, but can't be bothered looking them up to see if the actual wording is the same.

A bit like getting caught on a speed camera. Taken from the rear (in a manner of speaking) so no face shown on the photo, but you have to prove somehow that you were not the person driving at the time.
