    He might be right

As it would seem that many security breaches come courtesy of the US and the other five eyes countries Oz is safe - There is no need to target them - We just give all of our data to the other partners.

That he's aware of, and that is entirely the point. Nation state and other sophisticated groups don't tend to leave Hansel and Gretel style sweety trails for you to follow. Either Australia has nothing anyone gives a shit about or this guy is seriously delusional. Having witnessed the local mindset for some years now my money is firmly on the latter.

Have to agree Coward and of course we don't have any mandatory breach disclosure laws so if you did have a breach you don't need to worry about it anyway as long as its not your own financial account data why would you worry!

If sensitive information equals useful information. I sure can't see anyone getting that out of the australian government, any time soon.

    No need to hack

Since the Australian government will just hand over information to their masters upon request, or if the government needs to brown nose to its true masters - the Intelligence bureaucrats in the US of A.

The story about no hackers stealing data is simply not true. Australia's spy agencies insist on CISCO routers while at the same time they KNOW these routers have already been backdoored by the NSA. This means anything sent on a Australian government system is also sent to Fort Mead and is available for exploitation and analysis by the USA if they desire. 'Not Hacked' is a bare faced lie.
