    More likely bandwidth will be sold cheaply to party in power friends and funders while frequencies for a common emergency services allocation will again be unavailable so a telco can flog unwatchable bytes to an oversupplied public, right up to the next bushfire. Then live disaster movies will be back for a week.. Trust no privatised service unless heavily regulated for a definable public good IMNSHO.

    Better yet, undo the Howard/Keating disasters and privatise all telcos infrastructure so the mess of NBN can be put on a logical infrastructure footing. Let the telcos then flog the bits leaking out of the pipes if still addicted to "competition" There are natural monopolies and spectrum management would seem to be one of them.
