I used to have an ex-drug runner for a friend. I once asked him about the wild parties that are always shown in the movies. To which he pointed out that these guys know if the Feds catch up to them, they'll lose all the money and property that they have. So rather than try to save for retirement and risk losing everything, the spend the money about as fast as they can.

... the rest they just squandered.

If we're going to mis-quote Gerorge Best we could at least almost have the quote correct!
