    ‘Microsoft: keep your sticky mitts off our language runtime’ .... Yeah, like anyone is likely to listen whenever their Keys Open a Treasure Chest or they have a Map to King Solomon's Mines.

    Can you think of any good reason why it should not be a case of "embrace, extend and extinguish" for anyone who would pimp "embrace, extend and extinguish".

    Hmm yeah it's our code you can't have it. Oh and you want this add-on well that will be a $50 download thanks..

    I never did see the whole thrill of the ".NET" maybe because I'm not a "real" programmer, just dabble in php, mysql and other web based stuff.

    Closed to contributions doesn't mean closed source.

    There are many open source projects that don't accept external contributions. Just because the source is provided and you are allowed to make changes doesn't mean that they have to use your changes. It would be helpful to know whether the DLR will continue to be licensed with the Ms-PL.
