      "The real Anonymous or just some anonymous anonymous." Yeah, funny how that 'global non-hierarchical organisation without leaders' turns out to have a very identifiable and consistent core of 'non-leaders' 'not controlling' everything. As is remarked by the expert in the article:

      "I'd also question the authenticity of this actually being Anonymous. It doesn't look like something they would do. Usually when they release data it's for a specific purpose, not just for no reason."

      Yup, no identifiable leadership in operation there! NOT!

      I fully agree. In fact I think *all* stories about any kind of hacking should be attributed initially to Anonymous, at least until we know for sure it isn't.

    Both lizard squad and anonymous have been caught making bogus claims and taking credit. Weedy are the press still keen to believe anything they say..

      Newspapers (or a certain subset of them) create fear to sell papers, but couldn't fact-check in the race for eyeballs or online clicks. This plays directly into that hysteria, so a handful of narcissistic kids get attention for fuckall.

    Sigh.

    This ladies and gentlemen is why journalism now sucks.

    We all know the official/ish accounts of anonymous. If they don't talk about it then assume it's just some idiot operating under the anonymous banner and not an official operation.

    Think I'll start doing silly shit and add anonymous to my twitter name to see if I get some headlines.
