back to article 'Executed ex' of Norkers' bonkers Kim Jong-un rises FROM THE GRAVE

We're delighted to announce that reports of the execution last year of North Korean chanteuse Hyon Song-wol appear to have been greatly exaggerated. The former lover of Nork supremo Kim Jong-un was allegedly dragged before a firing squad along with fellow musicians on charges of "videotaping themselves having sex and selling …

When media gets out of hand

I find it hilarious how news outlets like Chosun Ilbo can fool the real media into believing their lies. I would almost think that Chosun Ilbo is really run by the North Koreans as a (sadly successful) propaganda operation: have everyone believe a bunch of ridiculous lies about North Korea, then prove some of the crazier ones wrong so that people start to doubt whether they've ever been told the truth in the first place.

Or it could be that the people running the newspaper believe so much in their crusade against communism and North Korea that they've lost all sense and don't realize they are hurting their own cause, like many political commentators in the United States are hurting their own political parties.

One does wonder if the video was made last Friday or some time a year ago. Does that make one rather cynical when dealing with anything from North Korea?

No, it's a fair point. God alone knows what the real truth is.

      1. Nigel 11

The real truth is that they won't allow independant verification of their version of "truth". Also, that they are now issuing official denials of what has previously been reported.

        Draw your own conclusions.

"not killing people" is not good enough

Even if it were true, they have a pretty poor view on what constitutes the state's responsibility to its people.

Perhaps if they were free to do what they wanted, it would be a start. Perhaps if there was lots of food and everyone could heat their homes in winter that would help.

At least they have a 300 metre high hotel and an egomaniacial leader whose very sight causes soldiers to jump into the sea to touch him.

"Thank you dear leader for ending our non-aggression pact!" I think they're saying.

    Questions, lots of...

How could we tell, they all look alike with the state-approved hairdo! Seriously, didn't they shoot her in the first place and it all was a media stunt to deter other potential porn producers for China has the legal monopoly to sell porn to Norks? Did it take eight months to find a doppelganger? Is it a test of their CGI skills?

      Re: Questions, lots of...

based on their previous venture into 'not enough rockets, photoshop more in', if its only 1 girl in the film then its probably true... still alive.. if there was a crowd of her as evidence of her rude health... then she is probably brown bread.

Mind you, in case it was CGI, their new CGI guy had the same great choice: glory if they buy into it or otherwise glorious death.

Nork videos with clapping or walking are always so creepy. Everyone is in exact sync all the time. Even when they stand up for the standing ovation, they all do so at the exact same time. I'm not sure how they do it, even if they are being given direction to do so.

        Re: Last man standing

Nah, not that harsh - or even worse?

When you've been drilled to be totally in sync from a very early age, probably already synchronously dropped out of a womb, you can't help but doing it all the time. The Norks may not have achieved much but they perfected human swarm behaviour.

    2. Ralph B

      Norkovations

Trust me, you don't want to be the last one to stand up for the standing ovation, or be the first one to sit down. Synchronisation follows naturally from this.

      1. Evil Auditor Silver badge

        Re: Norkovations

Ralph B, are you calling Darwin? Isn't it kind of (non-)natural selection when all the ones who are out of sync are put to immediate extinction?

        1. Ralph B

          @Evil Auditior Re: Norkovations

"(Non-)natural selection" would be just "selection", right? It would be the thing that Darwin was referring to when he coined "natural selection". So, no, I'm not calling Darwin. I'm calling the thing that Darwin was calling, i.e. "selection".

A Eurovision winner if I ever heard one!

Line her up for next year's musical farce! She might be dead but that's not going to stop her being entered for the competition if some of this year's entries can be taken as a guide. NK in Europe? Like Israel I guess; the United States of Europe is extending east.

BTW did the audience in the video remind anyone of Monty Python?
