      El Reg has moved from VIU (very interesting units) to VIU (virtually interesting units).

    Click Pricing and you'll see ECU is still used. Note that m3.medium, m1.small and t1.micro are all 1 vCPU, hardly a useful comparison!

    And, of course, there was an old coin called an ecu... and then the European Currency Unit preceded the Euro.
