    The Ethics of Arms Manufacturing

    I'm having trouble getting my mind around all this. A company that is unethical enough to sell weapons systems to despotic regimes is supposed to be ethical enough not to bribe officials of said regime. Producing systems specifically designed to kill and maim is OK, but maintaining a slush fund for an Arab Prince is not?

    So the company responsible for military coups and supporting dictators across northern Africa to ensure that it does not have to pay the country of origin a realistic price for Oil is sending a man to help with ethics at BAE?

    Go and ask anybody in Sierra Leone what they think of BP's ethics, or better yet, have a quick leaf through Mark (Scratcher) Thatcher's little black book...
