    And as a bonus, the ISS will have gotten a tiny boost in orbit by pushing them out.. ;-)

      But, it seems silly to have pushed the cubes down. Are they deliberately trying to shorten the cubes' lifespans? Pushing them out forwards would have been best, even sideways would have been OK, but down (or up) makes the cubes reach the point of Fiery Doom™ earlier.

        Pushing up or forward (or even sideways) gives risk of later collision with the ISS.
