    Amusing...

...and how can we - or McAfee, for that matter - know that the devices haven't been government-compromised during production? (By China, USA,... take your pick.)

Imagine - pay $100 for the NSA to have even easier access to your data... NSA keep the money saved on breaking a new device brought to market and spend it on extra storage!

Don't worry, I doubt he is competent enough to even make something as good as Tor.

I think you may misunderstand how Jon's device works.

It doesn't do anything. OK, maybe there's a couple of LED's that flash to show it working.

It's the drugs that make you believe you're safe....

Either that's a terrible case of conjunctivitis McAfee's got...

El Reg should give him a regular spot - this guy is a living legend... he is the Anti-Christ, Anti-Jobs and Anti-Gate's all rolled into one!

That's actually a good idea. Perhaps that spot should be in some padded room with a comfy jacket where he can hug himself.

    John McAfee

Bonkers or brilliant? I don't care.

Either way I guarantee he'd be good value on a night out down the pub and the world needs more people like him.

    I hope the D-Central isn't V-Mental and actually works.

"Good value on a night out down the pub"?

Certainly lively enough. If he offers to shoot pool, ask which gun he's planning to use!
