back to article iCloud outage outrage: Look, iPhoto friends, kitty just learned to... NOOO

Apple's iCloud is suffering an outage that has resulted in millions of fanbois being unable to access the service. According to Apple's own status page, there are currently issues with photo stream, documents in the cloud, backup and iPhoto journals, which some fanbois use to share snaps on Facebook. No.

It was, as in the other cases of recent outages, the installation of the NSA-tap into the network. It just takes a bit longer with Apple, because they didn't have MacOs/BSD drivers for the hardware maintenance ready. Services will be back soon.

On another thought, most iPhone owners probably didn't even notice it because the main functionality* was not impeded.

Grow up for christ's sake. Doesn’t your editor make you behave older than 14?

It was fun for a while, but slagging off a huge part of the population as well as your readers is not clever, only sad.

Nope - you don't really have to be a noob to find today's Reg irritating at times.

When I first started frequenting Vulture Hall, I - and other acquaintances - viewed El Reg as the "Private Eye" equivalent in the IT world - with in-depth analysis, informed opinion and intelligent speculation. This was matched by the quality of the comments, too.

Now? - it's more akin to "Viz" too often, and the comment pages frequently confirm that realignment.

    whats going on !!!!

    Another Cloud service down.

So, as of now at least Google, Amazon, Yahoo and Facebook have gone down in the last week.

What's that saying - one time is no time, two times is a coincidence, three times is a conspiracy?

There is wickedness afoot. I wonder if we'll ever find out what it is. I'm going to take a wild guess that someone has figured out a way to down cloud services, and is blackmailing the big'uns.

Of further interest is that *some* users documents are unavailable and that iMessage is down....

Does this mean iMessage has now become important enough that it warrants real time access for the authorities? (remember BBM during the London riots)
