How else to invest in advertising and media than to invest in an advertising business that is growing than one that is shrinking?

So far, Google have not gone for much of Shazam's space- but they are not being slow. They own this advertisiing, and watch iTunes and everyone's music data. They collect Shazam's data too.

If the one that owns advertising moves, everything will change. Where is the line between advertising and music? Is this space best called Shazam? Or is it YouTube? Arguably Carlos Slim's cash is the only way Shazam can survive. Will he have the appetite?

Google could launch a better service any time it likes- and design it to make money using all the competition's data (let alone target users and customers when they do). They don't always have to spend it launching public betas... bwahahhahahaaaaaa!

If you are a bit on the big side, and you're a mega-billionaire, you don't need to diet, all you need is call yourself Slim and nobody will ever argue with you.

Hmm, by American standards[1] he is slim.....
