Any details of the evidence used to prove it was his computer used? static ip address? logs?

I would have thought that someone with as much knowhow as Warg would know how to hide the sources of this information.

Was always curious about this case.

I guess it would also be good to know how well the jury was educated with regards to the technical nature of the case.

Whilst the defence/prosecution will have plenty of technical witnesses to bring out before the jury, it would be rather confusing for them.

Given that the only people with a real technical grasp of what is being said are the technical witnesses, this would have been a nightmare to be involved with...

"IT Educated" people are the last people you want on a jury, if you're being tried for IT related crimes. The problem is that lots of technical people come with preconceptions. Many IT people, in particular, think they know everything about IT and massively misjudge their own knowledge. You need to have jury members who are non-specialist in the area and good expert witnesses for both defence and prosecution. You certainly don't want IT people on the jury thinking "nah, that's bollocks because...."

    pertinent case details

i guess we are expected to take off work and appear in the courtroom with a pen, pad, fedora and overcoat just to get some basic details? my ignorant opinion is that he either got lazy/high/subconsciencely wanted to get caught or the prosecution is lying/case is fabricated but it would be nice if these "news" stories would include this sort of critical info. guess i'm supposed to learn swedish too? i bet there's all kinds of juicy details in that win phone article but i won't click on that POS.

I think his sentences have been far more reasonable than would happen in less civilised parts of the world like the US.

US will probably want him extradited from Denmark after they're done with him to face charges over copyright abuse.

Broke into a bank and some other site and shared lots of details? 2 years! Ignored somebodies copyright? 20 YEARS IN GUANTANIMO!
