      Dear Sirs,

We have considered your patent application for an iPhone home button protector, and our reply is: "knickers to that".

    Why bother with tthe phone

Alternatively the people that buy these "revolutionary ideas " could simply walk around with a pair of underwear on their own heads.

It's not that crazy you know...

There was a time just a few years back when it was trendy for people (well some people) in this country to put their phones in knitted socks! So we shouldn't laugh!

Paris 'cus were talking undies here and she's the obvious icon

One of the entrepreneurs behind those shocks popped up a few years later as a "oooh look, social media can help you sell stuff" motivational speaker. In a past journalistic life in small business I found this quite amusing.

    "Protect your home button"

I read that as "protect your home bottom" in this context

    Well it makes a change...

... from those knickers which have a section in front so you can put your phone into them and set it to vibrate...!

    Just for fun....

...I'd buy a few pairs of those and stick them in the washing machine, just to freak my other half out...

But as for ever putting something like that on a phone? Noways, the entire concept is pants in my opinion

    This just goes to show

The Japanese can almost always out-weird everyone else with their fads.

I'm struggling to think which is worse, underwear for your phone or a bra for your car. If you're old enough, and lived in the US you might remember those. Dunno about outside the US, perhaps those of you in more civilized countries were spared this particular abomination!

Not so silly. In Victorian times, respectable households in London would put velour trouser-legs on the legs of tables and chairs, to protect their dignity. Legs were, of course, never referred to as 'legs', but as 'understandings'....
