And of course, "pulled as soon as discovered" really means, "pulled as soon as position was filled".

    But...

Is it a good idea to upset someone who'd want to apply for a job like that?

      Re: But...

It's certainly a good way to generate a list of people not to hire.

The article missed one of the jokes.

Shame. The article missed the "how to apply" part of the joke.

Went something like "Applicants should make contact by standing by a fake looking rock in regent's park."

    Fake?

Or an attempt by the government to get the names and details of potentially dangerous people on the UK?

    Could be...

... a disgruntled DirectGov employee who would like to hire someone to take out the GOV.UK team.

Not just MI6, the police are looking for a killer as well

Alas they rejected my application, claiming they are looking for someone with experience.

are SiS are issued with firearms then?

The author sure does have a vividly imaginative way with words at times...the rest of it, imho dribble... But I'm not going to spur a debate upon self defence and reasonable force... It might get awfully political for a desk worker! Dont quit the day job?

On a side note: I wonder if the lead man of Symantec (Norton) will go on the run for something... Or be schitzophrenically framed to the point of paranoia for something extravegant... Oh the conspiracies this author could conjure up!!
