back to article EINSTEIN'S BRAIN had unusual lobes and cortex

Albert Einstein's brain seems to have been packed full of unusually-configured parts that could explain his unusual intelligence, according to a new study by US scholars. The revelations about the boffin's brain come from the the journal Brain, which carries a paper titled The cerebral cortex of Albert Einstein: a description …

So Einstein had a large knob.

I feel seriously inferior. In both departments.

    Large knob?

"Newly-uncovered photos also reveal 'large knob' in frontal lobe."

I've known a couple of people that I'd classify as 'large knobs' but none of them looked like Albert E. I think they were more like Richard Craniums.

    Bonus!

The wife frequently calls me a big knob. Finally I've got proof that just makes Einstein and me two birds of a feather.

    Einsteins brain unusual in humans

in that he used some of it.

At least he didn't have a large knob on his forehead

I thought his brain was chopped up and either sold or given away as a souvenir?

Been a while since I read the biography, but as I recall, some of it was given away for medical study.

The rest of it kinda, vanished.

Unfortunately, as I recall, very little was done with it as a whole piece.

    Yes, it's another knob joke...

"... 'large knob' in frontal lobe ... "

Was it turned up to eleven ?

It has the inch ruler, marked in centimetres, in the top pocket.

    That's a first

Did El Reg just called Einstein a dickhead? That has to be a first.

Comparing Paris with Marilyn Monroe is a bit much but I'm sure that just like Marilyn she would know what to do with Einstein's brain.

    Al's Brain

Albert's brain is on the telly

It looks pretty, but is it smelly?

It's what was used to control his belly

    And lots of his other bits;

This brain has done some neato thinking

While it helpded him do his winking,

    Walking, talking, sitting, standing,

    Pooping, counting and demanding.

Is he in there, all wrinkled and folded

Like funny pasta that has been moulded

To look like a brain that might be Al's?

Who knows, but this is cool.

So, some bloke who had to have his deliberately troll-baiting piece of cack self-published should be trusted over the general scientific consensus? Poppycock....

        Re: re: Roger Schlafly

Hey, Schlafly helped prove the double-bubble theorem, so he's clearly qualified to debunk consensus physics.

Primarily he just seems to be obsessed with Poincare and consequently with the perennial Poincare-Einstein flamewar. Well, with that and various fringe political theories. Several members of the Schlafly family are ... interesting ... that way; some readers may remember his mother, once-famous anti-feminist Phyllis Schlafly.
