On Sunday, Austrian Felix Baumgartner leapt into the record books when he skydived from 128,100 feet (39,045 meters), possibly going supersonic as he plunged earthwards over New Mexico. Simultaneously, somewhere in Holland, his diminutive twin made his own bid for glory, albeit from a slightly less heady height: Good stuff …

    Blocked here?

Hum. My company's web-washer (FortiGuard) has blocked that as "other adult materials". What else lives on that server? And any reason it's not been put on YouTube?

      Re: Blocked here?

Yep, mine too, with a highly descriptive "Open/Mixed Content" categorisation - which is less annoying than the "Hacking" one I frequently get for tech forums, yet a lot less humorous than the ones that get blocked because they're apparently "Educational"

      Yup, same here.

"The website http://www.dumpert.nl/embed/6394742/6eb9eea8/ has a ScanSafe category rating of "Adult"."

So I have to use my imagination based on the information given to me.

Can we be assured that no Raspberry Pis or Arduinos were harmed in the making of that video? I think we need to know.

    (oh yes - brilliant.)

    Record?

Don't think it's been declared an official record yet. I suspect that's because they're mulling over whether they have to do the usual speed record thing of asking him to repeat the feat in the opposite direction...

    Hmmm....

Are you sure that was over Holland? The advert at the end if for a Model event in Vienna, and the flag on the retrieval buggy was decidedly Austrian.

      Re: Hmmm....

Not conclusive I know but the view from the balloon suggests a very flat country, no sign of mountains or singing nuns so probably Holland not Austria.

      P.S. Austrian jumper, Austrian flag?

        Re: Hmmm....

True, but I think it needs clogs, tulips and a few windmills to be conclusive.
