Congrats $ony!!!! How did they taste??

Let me guess.. At first almost noxiously sweet, followed by a stale aftertaste and a feeling of general disappointment...?

Still - free cake is free cake. At least you weren't overcharged. I just hope they didn't taste like cakes that have been repeatedly regurgitated since 1982.

    Microsoft's silence speaks volumes...

    4m, Xbox360 over 18 months longer timeframe to 2.5m users (1.5m replacements)...

Seems like Microsoft's silence on everything sales related (unless it's American NPD) pretty much confirms their last-place standing this gen.

Of course now Microsoft are sat in last place, the spin will be now, that sales figures don't matter anymore...

      Re: Microsoft's silence speaks volumes...

Microsoft had sold 67.2 million Xbox consoles versus 63.9 million for the PS3 and has outsold the PS3 every month for the last year, so it is Sony that are sat firmly in last place. Not to mention 40 million active Xbox Live accounts, and over 20 million Kinects sold.

The Xbox had sold 4 million in the UK back in January 2009, so it is well over 5 million by now - so even this news isnt good for Sony. nb - replacements don't count as sales.

    On previous form...

Presumably at some stage in the near future $ony will issue a mandatory system update to those cakes that removes the icing functionality permanently....

Inserting cup cakes into your PS3 Super Slim will not turn it into a PS3 Slim. Or indeed a PS3 Fatboy.

    mmm tasty..

Nice gesture. Now they just need to send apology cakes to everyone infected by their DRM and we might not hate them.. as much.

What DRM? Have you just been transported from 2002 or something?

You clearly havnt used a PS3 then. It's Blu Ray player is DRM infected, as is its Media player via Cinavia.

    2 Buns?

CVG managed a whole cake, then fed it to Sony's rivals.
