    "By this time next year, that Sparc microprocessor will run the Oracle database faster than anything on the planet". Did he mean that SPARC will run Oracle faster than SPARC will run MySQL, PostgreSQL etc?

      I think he meant "faster than any other cpu on the planet".

      Now where are all those IBM supporters claiming that SPARC64 is dead? :o)

      Most like means that Oracle will have cancelled development on any other platform than SPARC, and demand that you sign your contracts with them in blood.
