I'm sure I speak for many men, but I too caught an infection off Emma Watson.

    How can this be?

McAfee is still in business? What's worse is that people still use it. Even more of a sign of the apocalypse is that anyone gives any credence to whatever FUD they proffer.

      + 100 for this

It's bought by corporate decision makers that don't have to work with the product. If they did, they wouldn't buy it.

Like you said, sad, isn't it.

Are they still owned by Intel?

Would've been nice if the article had mentioned either way.

Ah yes, here's the press release:

    http://www.mcafee.com/us/about/news/2012/q3/20120910-01.aspx

Top left corner, before any other text: "McAfee, an Intel company", and in the "About Mcafee" section it says "McAfee, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), is the world's largest dedicated security technology company."

Maybe El Reg's author missed it.

Piers Morgan now off the list?

On the list by mistake. Prurient users searching for "c*nt" will come up with any number of hits for Piers "Moron" Morgan ....

    What a rubbish article!

I don't know who some of the names are and CAN'T SEARCH TO FIND OUT WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT.

Some known good links should have been included. I was going to say "known clean links", but "good" is better than "clean".

If people are searching for Emma Watson

Then they aren't really likely to make it past Google Image Search.

Paris, because you could probably catch malware off her too.

    Sad, so sad.

There was something I read the other day about the 12-15(?) yr olds being the most frequent porn viewers.

I'd expect them to also be the most infected ( though not from physical contact).

But -- if papers like the Mail continue to print huge images of Watson from very poor phone shots then the kids will look at mum's paper and rush up to their bedrooms.

    OMFG!

"...Piers Morgan (the latter being another search term few would associate with nudity)..."

Well I certainly wouldn't, unless some bastard cued my imagination to cook up a particularly unpleasant mental image by writing something like that........

    6+ !

Don't forget Emma Watson searchers, she's only legal from Harry Potter 6 onwards !

      Re: 6+ !

But only in America I presume though. Looking at IMDB she was born in 1990. The fifth film, Order of the Phoenix, was made in 2006/7 when she was 16/17 so perfectly legal here in the UK.

One area where the UK is definitely a bit saner than the USA..

Although under 18's are still technically classed as children, personally I say drop the definition of child to under 16's, at 16 I was certainly NOT a child!

Another great advantage of totally ignoring popular "culture"...

...is that of all the names listed, the only one I've even HEARD of is Piers Morgan. An I don't think I'm likely to google the man who inspired Stephen Fry to redefine the word "countryside" as "killing Piers Morgan".

    Hermione: That's right. Now, if you two don't mind, I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed...or worse, McAfee'd! {turns and leaves, shutting the door behind her}

Ron: She needs to sort out her priorities!

Harry gets out his wand and yells "McAfee Crapivirikedavra!" and Ron's head explodes due to a dodgy signature update.
