back to article Obama Q&A on Reddit briefly knackers entire site

US President Obama has his fingers crossed for another four years in the White House - and to bolster support for a second term, the Democrat took to Reddit.com for a cosy chat with left-leaning cat-worshipping netizens. The 30-minute "ask me anything" session ended up being fairly pedestrian even though it garnered 23,000 …

    30 min = 6 answers?

I was disappointed he only chose to answer 6 questions out of the flood that came. He stayed away from the hard ones. I'm sure any politician would prefer this method of Q&A to a press conference. There were a lot of well written and serious questions that will remain unanswered for a long time.

Some people take time to think before posting on the internet, and check what they wrote.

JDX He probably spent more time editing his grammar errors a few people were pointing out. Those redditors were just overjoyed at the chance to be a presidential grammar nazi

more like he had to wait while his team vetted which questions to answer, check his responses to ensure they offended no sector of the voting populace etc hence why one of the questions answered was about beer and not foreign policy (other than restating the party line) more details on the economy (other then yeah it sucks but we are trying) etc.

no different to a press conference where they tell the press which segments are off limits on pain of restricted access. still suppose its better then blair and his "interviews" that had a full committee approved script

It was something to appeal to the young and distract the internet from the republicans but it's good that he did it and if you thought that he (or anyone else) would touch on subjects that could cause him problems then you're not being realistic.

The republicans obviously combed over everything he posted looking for anything to use against him even if they knew there wouldn't be anything there. I don't think we can risk having him screw up and Mitt Rmoney getting elected.

He's certainly not been a great president by anyone's standards but he's not Mitt Romney.

Funny he never answered the question...

...when he was going to stop lying and admit he's a con artist. He's excellent however at being a charlatan.

He also _still_ hasn't denied that he murdered a young girl in 1990. What is he trying to hide?

Meanwhile at the GOP conference they're discussing how women will have to carry out rape pregnancies under law.

These are sick, sick people. Hopefully the intelligent people will vote against Romney and his lunatic running mate Ryan.

      Really?

If the "intelligent people" originally elected Obama, then the U.S. is in big trouble, as Europe has finally discovered.

Mass media? Journalism? Who needs free publicity?

Notice how the neo-GOP has taken their hatred of the mass media and REAL journalism to new extremes? They've realized they don't need the free publicity. They have enough money to absolute saturate the voters during the last week before the election. You're about to see an infinite flood of ads showing puppy-eating Democrats!

Watch my ads! Look at Paul Ryan's abs!

Vote Nixon/Goldwater 2012 so that government of the corporations, by the lawyers, for the richest 0.1% of Americans, shall rule the earth!

    Just fools...

Anyone who thinks either political party in the U.S. is worth the powder to blow them all to Hell, is a fool.

Careful now before the men in black suits come a knocking for this tentative hint of violence.

Where do you see any suggestion of violence? It doesn't exists. He said they ain't "worth the (cost of the) powder" to blow the parties to Hell, i.e. they ain't worth ten cents.
