    Having worked for them, this doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

    On the sharedpoint for holidays thing

    We use that at our place, but HR refuse to let anyone bar the odd remote manager use it off site. It's less paper basically, and more secure than bits of paper flying around / having managers signatures faked.
