i think the difference there was that you could only use Windows to run 90% of the worlds software and large scale migrations were extremely difficult for a number of reasons.
Its not that hard to move away from Google services and their search business does not provide anything that actually runs the business.

Actually, Microsoft got sussed for writing code into windows 3.1 <citation needed> to ensure it wouldn't work with DRDOS, their sole competitor, so a 'bit' different.
I just find it strange that the worlds (maybe) least evil corporation that freetards love is always being investigated, not for protecting consumers (witness their exit from human rights abuse country China), but from ruling governments.

India CCI is not investigating if general users are being strangled into NOT using Bing or DuckDuckGo, it's about their restraint-of-trade with Google's advertising customers regarding access & transparency to eponymous keywords.
