See this is why footballers are truly the pinnacle of athletic ability, not only can he chase down his victim, he can assult him, finish off, then instantly get up and try to chase the ball again

    *salutes*

...on second thought that sounds like I'm saluting sexual assault...

Whereas a cricketer would have taken 2days of foreplay before even taking their jumper off.

      "But was it 'simulation'?"

EA Sports - If it's in the game, it's in the game.

Or maybe that should just read 'EA Spurts'. Go on Metro, you can use that as a headline when you recycle this story tomorrow. No charge.

Reminds me of my favourite line of football commentary from a World Cup match:

"He shoots, and has Seaman all over the box"

    Pity England lost though.

Good, but not as good as cricket commentator Brian Johnston's

"There's Neil Harvey standing at leg slip with his legs wide apart, waiting for a tickle” (1961)

      "The bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey" (1976)

      and my favourites

RTE's George Hamilton commentating as Emilio Butreguanio leaves pitch: "He's pulling him off. The Spanish manager is pulling his Captain off!"

Ken Brown commentating on golfer Nick Faldo and his caddie Fanny Sunneson lining-up shots at the Scottish Open: "Some weeks Nick likes to use Fanny, other weeks he prefers to do it by himself."
