    Now can we please have a story where granite chunks come gushing up from the bed of a river wiping out offices and cubicles-a-plenty? Complete with a Playmobil reconstruction?

      Bandwidth has become so cheap that the original purposes of WAN optimizers is passing away. So you know, they gotta reach for something.

        Bandwidth means nothing if your latency is ~150ms. You may be able to shove a 3MB excel file down the pipe in a few seconds, but clicking around in your financial software will take hours.

    Apologies for my ignorance, but how can you do point in time snapshots or mirrors over 1000's of miles? With a latency measured in seconds?

    If at first you dont succeed...

    According to financial anlaysts, Riverbed's Whitewater product is "dead in the water". What makes Riverbed think they will have more success with Granite and block storage, which is even harder to synch over distance???? It's time to start challenging Riverbed vs taking their claims at face value...
