    So I guess these "hacktivists" fully intend to keep their "direct actions" going until they convince all the governments of the world that the internet needs to be closely surveilled, closely regulated, and tightly controlled.

    Legislation that will affect a lot of law abiding businesses and people.

    The trouble with this kind of legislation is that the people forming it have a poor understanding of the internet/webb and so produce such poor laws.

    It's down to the ignorance, they think they know but actually they have no idea-the US being a prime example of it.

    If the hackers are angry they might as well get over it because the situation is just going to get worse. The more they hack the more people will be looking for them and eventually they will be caught.

    Irish Government? Oxymoron, surely?

    The idea that the Irish have any say in the running of their country was surely killed and buried when their budget started to be written by the Germans without consultation with the Irish parliament. Now multi-nationals are writing the laws.

    So much for "The Free State". Hope it was worth all the pain!
