back to article Bulgarian coeds exposed in hidden camera stuffed apartment

A brace of Bulgarian coeds have been left shaken after discovering that their Florida apartment was bristling with hidden spy cams. Vanya Samokovareva and Ralitsa Dzhambasova, both in their early 20s, came to the US for two months as exchange students, and were working part-time as waitresses before becoming "pizza babes" for …

the cameras were turned off at night?

Or were they just not interested in recumbant Bulgarians?

    "Coeds"?

They wanted to be students in America in the 1950s?

(Or in the 1890s, Louisa Mae Alcott used the term apparently.)

    Hard To Know These Days

... whether this really happened or it was just a publicity stunt by two aspiring actresses hoping to make it big in the US.

    That is just wrong.

Hopefully, the Hillsborough Country Sheriff's[1]department will allow the two young ladies a crack at the so-called "businessman" before taking the shyster into custody ...

Those of you approving of such "business-like" conduct, in the comments & "thumbs up" above, really need to grow up. Idiots.

      SPLELING?

Can't tell if trolling or just stupid!!

        @Anonymous Fail

See, the misspelling of the word "spelling" was intended to be humorous, pointing out the similar misspelling of "County" as "Country", and... oh, you know what, just forget it.

    Surprising

I am amazed that the "local businessman"'s home and computers haven't been searched, and that he hasn't already been arrested - and, likely, held without bail.

    Pffft...

Don't know what they're worried about, if you've nothing to hide you've nothing to fear.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt...

... but the video does look a bit like a promotion for the upcoming 'pizza babe' porn site.

    "Pizza babes"

Maybe I'm out of touch, but WTF is a "pizza babe"? Do you eat pizza with her? Or eat pizza off her naked body? Or does she just go and get you a pizza when you ask her to?

    Beer and pizza...

You have heard of Hooters, right ?

A Hooters babe, by any other name, is still a Hooters babe.

On which note, I found this other headline puzzling:

        "Pacnet adds Honkers datacentre"

Which refers to Hong Kong, as it turns out.

      I'm assuming

that the "local businessman" is the "I'd buy that for a dollar" guy from Robocop.

      Nothing else would make sense.

    Blimey

Not even particularly well hidden, hidden cameras either.

And the police have 'no suspects', Hmm. I would have thought the owner of the apartment would be a good start, and there must be plenty of fingerprints on all that hardware.

    Thumb Down

    Hidden?

all that was left were the massive plugs and snaking cables. They where huge, The cameras must have been quite large just to have some suitable size sockets for those plugs. Hardly CIA standard 'hidden'.

It must be a publicity stunt. The Pizza guy rigged the house and employed the girls. He sends round an employee to 'discover' the cameras to trigger the investigation. The girls give the news interview and leave the country...

    .. later ...

... a new restaurant opens (possible a hooters/pizza hut style mashup) already pre-publicized world wide. No video was ever intended to be shot as this might lead the police to the culprit.

    Why bother?

Check any 'adult' site with 'tube' in the title, and you'll see a lot of attractive girls gladly get in front of the (web)camera, and it's slightly more interesting than watching the day-to-day life of a couple of pizza waitresses.

    Independent research

pizzababe dot co if you feel the need to do independent research into whether it's just a publicity stunt.

I worked for a guy who did this...

He hid a handycam in the bathroom vent of the house he was renting to female college students.

I found out about it when two detectives showed up and took him out of the shop in cuffs. The police ended up dropping charges: Because there was no audio on the tape, there was no law against it. (I think there is now.)

A couple of days later, I was handed said handycam (complete with electrical tape over the record LED!) and asked to make it so he could capture the video to an MPEG file.

This guy was a total scumbag. Shortly after I quit, I dropped an anonymous tip to said cops about his massive collection of porn on the company's server (not to mention turning it into an open FTP...) Some of it looked like the participants MIGHT have been underage, and quite a bit of it DEFINITELY involved other species. And even better, it was tucked away along all sorts of business documents, customer files, and tech manuals. You never knew what you'd find!
