    Major revival

Prostor had an idea but not idea how to go beyond what they had without funding. Tandberg after its revival is going from strength to strength from an excecution point of view but it was difficult to see where they would go next.

Looks like a good match. RDX concept is simple but sound. Be interesting to see what transpires next.

Be careful taking these on a plane..

I'd be a bit hesitant to take something labeled "RDX" on a plane now-a-days.

    or a train.

    Or into a government building.

      RDX

Wouldn't your pallet of RDX-enabled machines have to go in the cargo hold?

    Tape *still* wins for archiving.

1)Bulk of hardware in drive, not "cartridge" whatever format it has.

2)Worst case extract tape from cartridge and re-mount to empty cartridge. Try that with disk platters.

3)Point failure on tape could be snipped out. Again try this with a disk.

Depends on how long you want to archive.

But cautious thumbs up for this.
