    Why aren't the banks targetting ISPs and phone companies?

    Apparently there's lots of online fraud, maybe the banks need to come down hard on ISPs and phone networks (EFTPOS)... Makes sense if the FACTA can do it.

      that have their products counterfeited and flogged through outlets like eBay?

      Surely they should be starting up their own money grubbing troll associatioins and going after the ISPs too.

      Come th think of it, if Limewire can be found guilty then why not eBay?

      Probably for the same reason that they don't target pen manufacturers when dealing with personal cheque fraud.

      Oh, and because the cell phone companies have a heap load of money to pay for lawyers.

    Look out Main Roads

    I wonder whether a few of us who have been in road accidents should sue the Main Roads department for damages caused to injuries sustained whilst travelling on Queensland's roads?

    I have an uncle who came *very* close to having his foot amputated, after a couple of hoons allegedly decided to have a race in the midst of the Ipswich motorway peak-hour traffic. Could be a nice GBH case there.

    Finally

    The High Court is the last court of appeal in this country, since the Australia Act in 1986 which removed the Privy Council from the chain (that was one of the things Bob Hawke did right in his career!)

    So if (fingers crossed) the High Court judges display the same common sense that the Supreme and Federal Court judges have so far, the AFACT pigs won't have a leg left to stand on, and they'll just have to put up and shut up. Unlike America, where seemingly you can win by endless appeal after appeal until your victim runs out of money, here at least there is a limit to it, and that limit has now been reached.
