    Enemy?

    "In 1982, the US released an SR-71 photo of enemy merchant ships in Corinto, Nicaragua,"

    I know that the US and the (then) USSR, really REALLY hated/grudgingly respected each other, but I can't recall the US actually saying that the USSR was "the enemy" (Alien because some folks still believe that us,puny, Humans couldn't have designed such an awesome machine at the end of the 1950's)
