Goldman Sachs to patent Bitcoin

Uhmmmm, No. Not even close. They want to patent a blockchain like mechanism for making, authenticating and securing financial transactions. Thats not bitcoin persé, just a rip-off of the mechanism it works on. And depending on the way GS is implementing this it'll either be covered by prior art (and thus not patentable) or possibly insecure. This is seriously just non-news.
