    Lots of orders in the last three days of a quarter?

    "Can you place an order? It's OK to cancel it next week. The end of the quarter is looming, and I have to make my quota."

      Except in most companies, orders don't count against your quota until they ship/are signed off by the end-user. Hence doing what you suggest would be of exactly zero benefit. It would almost certainly result in dismissal and in certain territories it may also count as fraud.

      I once worked for a company who paid their salesmen on orders shipped by the last day of the quarter.

      They didn't seem to care if the goods came back a few days later, which of course they sometimes did.
