    If the NBN has anything to do with it...

    It's more likely the users upgraded to the NBN because their currently pwned systems were running slow on our old copper.

    At last...

    ...it looks they have finally found a business model for the NBN. Monetize it by selling DDoS capabilities on the black market. Brilliant!
