Anyone who has ever had any dealings with the FCC or FTC will just laugh at the notion of either bureaucracy actually performing their sworn duties to protect the public. Pigs will fly long before the FCC or FTC actually enforce U.S. laws and/or stop ISPs from flagrant and repeated violation of said laws. Millions of consumers can prove that the FCC and FTC have failed U.S. consumers countless times even when provided with irrefutable evidence of crimes by ISPs. The fact of the matter is the FCC and FTC have been bought off by Big Biz and consumers are just there for exploitation by the ruthless, disgraceful ISPs who knowingly violate law for profit.

Given that the US managed to completely annihilate the Passenger Pigeon which at one time was able to darken the skies for ages by sheer numbers invites a comment of "as you sow, so ye shall reap".
In hindsight it was a bit like shooting ISP precursors in a barrel ...
