The elusive hacking group calling itself the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) has claimed it is behind the defacement of US military websites on Monday. Among the messages injected into the US Army homepage was one stating, "Your commanders admit they are training the people they have sent you to die fighting." True to form, the …

    Nice.....

    Two thoughts come to mind....

    1) Exactly what are they saying? The English is so bad it makes no sense. Maybe they meant: "Your commanders are training you to die fighting?" or "Your commanders are training us to die fighting."?????

    2) If they're so damn passionate, why aren't they in their army instead of behind a computer? Sorry, a computer posting or hack isn't going to win any wars, kids.

They missed one word. It should read 'Your commanders admit they are training the people that they have sent you to die fighting'

But more to the point, why the hell are they are boasting about hacking an http site? This is script kiddie stuff.

Methinks that is too naive a sweeping statement and opinion which you might like to reassess, Mark 85, in order that it reflect the reality of SCADA administrations' fears.

Hmm, it sure puts the wind up the supposedly impregnable US military.

For a nation that dictates other countries security checks to have YET ANOTHER site even breifly mucked about with is like some unidentified person leaving a turn in the middle of the carpet in Buck House.

Yeah, that's why you won't find any nation states pouring cash into computer hacking and security agencies. How would hacking into your opponent's IT infrastructure and then re-directing all their military supply convoys to ship to completely the wrong theatre be of any use in a war?

      Oh, wait...

Hoping you mean USSTRATCOM coordinates the US military's space operations and missile defense, rather than that they coordinate said things through their homepage...
