Google is making a push to get its Glass headsets into the workplace with a new program, "Glass at Work", to entice coders to build enterprise applications for companies wanting to get into the wearable computing platform. That'd be a video that's piles of fun to watch.

(sorry. I'd add a JokeAlert icon, but I'm not even sure the above classes as one)

I was thinking more of haemorrhoids (piles) but I'll take any help I can get.

Other commentards - refer to ACs explanatory note to make my 'joke' borderline entertaining.

Thanks all, peace out,

Yup - try stopping this..

It's not going to take that much time until the damn things are everywhere, and the last shreds of our privacy (like indoors) are but fully eroded. But hey, it's new, and shiny, and US based Google tells us it's not doing any evil so it must be OK then :(.

I think it will be very important to create some form of control here. This is not going to be at the level of idiots taking upskirt pictures, we are talking about a device deployed by a company that as far as I can tell specialises in acquiring data and only saying sorry when caught.

Fab-ulous dahling

I was just pondering the subtle irony that would apply for this in my own industry (semiconductor manufacturing).

I could be damn sure that trying to walk into one of the fabs (or even sites) where the silicon bits of the Glass are made would just result in both me and the tech ending up off-site so fast feet wouldn't touch floor. They don't allow "proper" digital cameras on most sites, and indeed get very nervous even around smart (and dumb) phones with them built in.

An enjoyable little irony for a Friday afternoon as we head towards beer o'clock.
