back to article SPAM supposedly spotted leaving the fridge

It's still silly season, it seems. Tell the world that a bunch of small business broadband routers have been compromised and recruited into botnets, and the world yawns. Add in a television or a multi-media centre, and there's a faint flicker of interest – perhaps a raised eyebrow, but not much more. Add in the word “ …

Re: Always keep you spam inside the fridge

Never take the spam out of the tin. It's disgusting! The only use for those huge tins of the stuff is to beat burglars to death with. Or to give to Vera Lynn if she happens to pop round for tea and a sing-song - and fancies some spam fritters.

yeah but . . .

Sending ot the spam isn't too bad -- I demand 25% of all money harvested -- it's the way that the fridge has downloaded loads of porn and is now blaming the freezer for it.The microwave has hacked in to the wireless central heating controls and is now demanding a thorough cleaning or it will gradually drop the temperature until I act like Barry Davis.

Patch Tuesday in the kitchen? The Horror!

Patches for your phone, tablet, laptop, PC, TV, microwave, blender, fridge, dishwasher, hairdryer, car, bicycle, razor and much more.

That'll be a very busy patch tuesday!

Mine's the one with paper and pencil in the pocket for when my fridge refuses to mail my shopping list.

A good excuse for a midnight snack?

However, Vulture South is not, as our peers seem to be, lying awake at night over the refrigerator spambot

Good to hear that your new years resolutions are holding, and you're not taking the excuse for a midnight snack in the name of researching what the device is doing...

I for one welcome our .....Mobile Snack Providers

*yeah I know....the bad kind of spam rather than the worst kind.

**Hmm can the fridge and the friar double team for retro treats?

***How come this never happened to the Autobots?

****And can this be used for a smegging viral campaign for red dwarf? Or is that just talking toasters?

lovely negative article poo-pooing the press release but the fact(maybe) remains that a fridge was being used to spam. Sure it's a teeny portion of all spam but smart fridges are a teeny portion of all fridges. One day when we all have them, when dumb fridges are no longer available, then you'll be sorry. You'll all be sorry!

Just goes to show "the internet of things" is a load of bollocks.

a/c because the fridges are coming..

Oh shit! Does it? When are they going to implant chips in those?

Will they be able to post on forums independent of the rest of me? I guess that might explain 4chan anyway...

Own email Address

If we give all the "internet of things" their email address they will be too busy spamming each other to bother us meat sacks.
