Note the difference between this quarter's stated 21 pct increase in 3PAR sales and last quarter's stated 60 pct. Unless they pull it out with the new 7000s, this is a definite plateau-ing of 3PAR sales.
The rumors go 'round and 'round about HP spinning off its PC business or doing some other kinds of breakup, and CEO Meg Whitman put a stop to them – maybe for once and for all, maybe not – on a conference call today to discuss the company's financial results for the first quarter of its fiscal 2013 ended on January 31. Given that HP sold twice as many StoreServ arrays in Q1 than it was expecting, 3PAR sales are hardly plateauing! I'd wager that unit sales are through the roof, but revenue is going up slower due to the new StoreServ arrays delivering about twice as much bang for buck as the existing models. Meg Whitman was at a womens conference. She was the only woman on stage. There was 14,000 women in the audience. And they are booing her.
She fails badly in the election - gets exposed for heaps of bad stuff, then the numbskulls in HP give her a CEO's job.

What does being a shitty politician have to do with being a good businessperson?
99.5% of what pols say is complete bullshit they don't believe in. 99.5% of what CEO's say is also bullshit but as a rule they believe their own smack.
"The rumors go 'round and 'round about HP spinning off its PC business...." TPM, as someone that goes to pains to repeat those runours that's a bit like the kettle pointing at the pot rack! So a drop in hp PSG figures of 7% and 8% is "cratering"?
".....IBM's Power Systems line, which has only just begun its transition to eight-core Power7+ processors, took it on the chin a bit, with revenues dropping 19 per cent......"
