Another annoying advert
With most adverts on El reg I'm reasonably content to click on close & just ignore them, but today I went to read the article "Journo says Elon Musk apologized for Tesla battery fiasco" only to find an advert (something to do with slow loading web pages) that obscured part of the text and NO sign of any way to close this advert. I eventually got rid of it by opening the comments then back to the article, but I really wasn't very happy to have to work my way round an advert in this way so I could read the article.
I completely understand that adverts are needed so we can get our daily fix of The Register, but please please ensure we can actually get rid of the damned things to be able to read the articles!

As opposed to a non-annoying advert? Personally, I've never noticed one.

Ok I'll re-phrase - an un-ignorable advert (if there is such a term). I'm good at ignoring adverts usually, couldn't ignore this one.

Install Adblockplus. Nuke the adverts you don't approve of. You're not going to click on them, and you are probably not going to purchase anything from the schmucks anyway. Saves both ElReg and yourself a little bandwidth.
Leave the ads you "approve of" alone.
Then relax & have a homebrew :-)
