Why do people like JavaScript ?
If I could choose something to use for a project it would be Ocaml or F# if it is on Azure. (Maybe Go if it is for Google Appengine).
(Don't get why people like writing Python either it is no fun at all like JavaScript).

Yeah but not but yeah but...
Javascript is in its own too-laid-back-for-its-own-good way a decent language and if you like functional, as do I, it can do functional all the way.
Why anyone would use it server side use I cannot possibly understand. It's just wrong (AFAICS). Wiser minds please put me right.

I say the same thing about Ocaml, F#, and Go.
JavaScript is a nice language...
