What we will have now is the plaintiffs sueing their own lawyers, with a whole new bunch of lawyers.

This deal was "substantial" for who?? Facebook and the Lawyers representing the plaintiffs. THAT is who this deal was substantial for. This didn't do not one "SUBSTANTIAL" thing for the plaintiffs. It made some lawyers richer though, and it appears that those lawyers didn't consult with their clients before accepting the deal, which in and of itself, is illegal, isn't it? Since when do lawyers have final say on what they CLIENTS WANT, as plaintiffs in a case? Lawyers.... HUMPH!!!

pointed out the real role of the legal system is to make lawyers rich.
Punters are just there to be shafted.
So perhaps the plaintiffs should have been awarded a nominal sum for their inconvenience. Maybe say, the value of the goods exposed on their account.

Quite surprising that the judges didn't award apple a few million in damages against the plaintiffs - after all someone here must have been infringing an apple patent somewhere
