Symantec- where next
A brutal view would be that Symantec is in its comfort zone, safe and moderately happy but basically going nowhere. An optimistic view is that Symantec is expanding rapidly in the Asia-Pac geography and poised to boost earnings significantly from cloud products and services.
Which is it?
Re: Symantec- where next
Symantec making money but cutting even?
this telsl me they have too many products and UPKEEP and very little money is going to R&D.
Sounds like Symantec needs to expire some products to turn a nifty profit!
Hypervisor
With a secular trend for server management to pass into the hypervisor realm should Symantec buy a hypervisor company, such as RedHat?
People still use this shite?
Oh dear. Maybe for a very small business, as for me, I don't like software playing nanny. A task in which Symantec excels.
The problem with paying dividends is they are a US based company
and the taxes kill you. Once as income for the company, then a second time as income for the person owning the stock.
Frankly, with the IT market maturing I expect a lot of other companies to be facing Symantec's dilemma in the near future.
