iPhone con man knifed to death in knock-off mobile brawl
A bloke was arrested after a brawl over a counterfeit Apple mobile led to the fatal stabbing of a con man. The fight kicked off in Zhengzhou, northern China, according to Henan province newspaper The Dahe Daily [Chinese], which published grisly CCTV footage capturing the moment of the stabbing. A 29-year-old cook surnamed Feng …
should be more of this sort of thing
the guy is a like a knife-wielding goddamn Batman! without the cowl and cape....
Re: should be more of this sort of thing
Except that batman doesn't kill people.
Re: should be more of this sort of thing
absolutely. It is usually the fall or the bullets.
Re: should be more of this sort of thing
Erm, that'd be the T.V. version
Re: Is there a jury
"In the whole world that would convict him?"
Lets get this straight - he was greedy little man who bought a gadget on the cheap from a bloke hanging around on the street (hello, didn't alarm bells ring at this point?) then gets pissed off when - surprise! - it turns out to be a knock-off. So instead of chalking it up to his own stupidity and learning a lesson he decides he's going to kill the guy but kills someone else instead.
But suuure, I'm sure every jury on the planet would be 100% sympathetic and let him off with a cheerful wave.
Not.
Re: Is there a jury
Yes, well, you could turn this around. If you're hanging around on the street, selling knock-offs and scamming people, one of your victims might come looking for you.
Are you working for low-enforcement by any chance?
I' would let him off with a cheerful wave.
Re: should be more of this sort of thing
He probably did. We just didn't see those episodes, hehehe.... It wouldn't have been PC in the 60s, hence BLAM, BOOF, BLOWEEE, UMMPFH...
Re: should be more of this sort of thing
"Except that batman doesn't kill people."
But he doesn't have to save them. :-)
Re: Is there a jury
"I' would let him off with a cheerful wave."
Then you're a moron. Last time i looked scamming idiots didn't warrant the death penalty.
Classic bait and switch
Scammers are the same the world over!

Presumably he stood at attention for a time, shui-ing in a passing breeze.
Sorry, could not resist that. I'll just get me coat. That'll be the one with a couple of iphones, a half dozen rolexes and some gen-you-wine imitation Gucci shit. I'll be at your local car boot this weekend.

GENUINE Sabatier was it? Cooks accept no substitute. For all your slicing and dicing needs....
Re: This implement of which you speak...
He thought it was. Turned out to be a fake.

He should have said that he bought what he thought was a rubber knife to frighten the con-men but it turned out the person who sold him it sold a counterfeit one made from steel.
"The second victim died a day later due to excessive blood loss."
So there's an acceptable amount of blood loss????
Re: "The second victim died a day later due to excessive blood loss."
Yes, about an armful.
"How long until the ambulance arrives?"
Siri: <beepity-beep> Sorry, you are not in a registered area for that service. Have a nice day!
Dog bites man with an Apple product
New principle of journalism:
Dog bites man, not news
Dog bites man with any Apple product - must-print news!
He tried to just give a warning, but did a proper attack instead.
He was just holding it wrong.

Getting worked up over 'stuff'
It's just stuff man, get over it. Bits and bobs, things, material wotsits - it's a goddam thing for making calls and playing on games.
Gets some perspective here people - don't get all stabby over stuff.
HERESY! Re: Getting worked up over 'stuff'
It's not just stuff, it's iStuff. The most wonderful, magical, orgasmic kind of Stuff. The Stuff bequeathed upon us by St. Steve and his iAngels.
So..
A $200 iPhone should have been a DEAD give away.
Ill get my coat...
Would it be in poor taste to conjure up some reference to Killer App?
If only...
... Apple had the forethought to patent stabbing people to death. When you consider the unlimited financial penalty of patent infringement, it would be more of a deterrent then that for murder.
Come on Apple, after all, stabbings are an old and well used method of murder, so you'll be in rich pickings for cases for years!
