I presume the investigation was thorough, and the majority of the site was verified as working
One can never be too careful. I'm going to go and watch every one of their videos to make sure.
Dumb dumbs
You never ever log passwords or other sensitive identifiable data in a log file. Not even when full debug is enabled. The reason for that has just been demonstrated.

You never logon/register with something that might be dodgy with your main email account, dummy accounts all the way surely?

Thank goodness my ISP lets me set up and destroy email accounts to my heart's content. Limited to 30 concurrently, as long as they aren't already in use at the time by other users (easy for random string names). I haven't even looked at the hower-many-hundred I get with my actual domain hosting.

Mailinator would work for throwaway addresses too. I assume for a porno site you'd never ever want to interact with these people beyond that initial registration so it would be perfect.

Infinte Disposable Email
Why create email addresses with Yahoo, when there are several disposable email sites that create mailboxes on the fly, meaning you have an infinite number of email addresses for sign-up purposes!? Shame the 'educational' sites that give 'sign-up for 30 free minutes' have now cottoned on!!

Unfortunately many sites now refuse to accept known disposable e-mail domains for registration.

Mailinator runs a bunch of alternate domains. I reckon most sites wouldn't know to block all of them.
