UK's digital policy seized by fanatical bureaucrats, say MPs
BristolBachelor welcomes all commentards to comment here :)Rather good piece I thought.
The second page was particularly good at pointing out the rather large elephant looming over the horizon over there { WAVES HAND IN THE GENERAL DIRECTION OF CHINA }.
It's amazing how many people out there seriously believe every problem is digital: either X is BAD or X is GOOD. There is never, apparently, any middle state.
I blame Mr. Boole, myself.
I can't remember exactly now, but there was a part in there about the future and about China, and I wanted to point out that there is a lot of press now about how China is issuing more patents than almost everyone. I think that UK / USA have offloaded all manufacturing to China etc., and think that it's OK because they are still the centres of excellence in design, but they will soon realise otherwise.
The the UK will just be left with the money jugglers in London who just "make money" by selling people's debt between each other and charging a percentage as it goes through. All this really does though is make that debt cost the original person more. Nothing is made, no money comes into the country, and I fear what will happen.
I'll tell you what'll 'appen, mate...
... we'll all be fired off to another planet in a spaceship named "Ark (B)". We'll have become a nation of parasitic middle-men who contribute nothing of value to the universe.
We're already haemorrhaging creatives to other countries because the UK simply isn't interested in having more than one viable industry. We must suck at multitasking or something.
