Amazon lures Microsoft WinPhone chief with Kindle

Brandon Watson is head of the Developer Experience team working on Windows Phone 7, which leads developer marketing and developer platform products. Watson is reported to be …
Why do they want to help Microsoft?
I don't get it, why do they take bad employees from Microsoft? Wouldn't that help Microsoft?
@Christian Berger: Watson is more or less a freelance entrepreneur who has engaged in a multitude of business endeavours, of which his stint at MS was just the most recent. His move to Amazon is entirely consistent with his career to-date.
What makes you say he is a "bad" employee, just out of interest?
Indeed, the head of *Developer* experience isn't really responsible for WP7 failing to sell. As far as we know developers are perfectly happy with WP7.
Good for Amazon, hopefully good for Windows Phone
In what way is Brandon a "bad employee"? Sure, he's creative and gets things done and engages well with the development community - all of which probably threaten folks who want to hide under a rock and be mediocre
He's had a good track record at Microsoft and looks like he's going on to a great position with Amazon where hopefully he can at least continue to represent for the Windows Phone business he's done a great job of growing
Hmm, a Microsoft man joining the Kindle "cross-platform" team?
I smell a rat. Nokia, anyone?
Sinking Ship Icon ?
WP is going nowhere and these folks know it.
PS NT kernel on a phone ? Wow it's back to the retro Motorola phones of the 80s.
Squeak, squeak, splash
As we all know, rats can swim quite well, especially when the platform is burnin^Wsinking..
