Do grow up.
A Menorcan political candidate has caused a bit of a rumpus ahead of Spain's forthcoming municipal elections with a seriously in-your-face advert in the local press. Sole Sánchez Mohamed's election advert photo, showing her breasts held by male hands Sole Sánchez Mohamed, head of the Partit Democràtic de Ciutadella (PDC), posed …
"To grow old is mandatory, to grow up is optional".
I choose to use all available options.
... and it's no fun.
... but in public, it only makes sense.
Act like an adult, as an adult, and be treated as an adult.
Act like a child, as an adult, and be treated as a child.
At home, you're on your own ... but on TehIntraWebTubes chances are that some employer, somewhere, looking for an employee, will find your sexist commentardary & act accordingly.
Like it or lump it, it's reality.
I fully agree with you. That's why I don't use my real name on any forums I make posts to and don't use my real name in any email addresses I use for that purpose. I know reality, it bites.
Not sure how well that would work with Anne Widdecome, Margaret Beckett, Claire Short etc.
I suppose it could work with the Green Party MP, Caroline Lucas - a bit of a guilty pleasure there.
Mine's the one with Getting Inside the Green Agenda in the pocket.
With the first three it would be a threat..
Going to bleach my mind in the hopes of removing that mental image.
Now I've got a mental image of AW in all her glory and IT WON'T GO AWAY
I'm off to shoot myself
Why is this article marked 'NSFW' when only the link is? You're either diluting the warning or disappointing a lot of people 'working' from home on a Friday.
Maybe to keep people from going to the link --- to a minor catalan-language (I presume) newspaper, that inevitably went titsup anyhow.
I think the image in the article would also be classed as NSFW. At least where I work
NSFW where I work too, Shaun 1.
Maybe AC@09:46 got a position at that naturist place in Buckinghamshire?
If my boss happened to walk up behind me while I was reading that article at work and saw the poster I'd be out on my ass within the hour.
... the caption reads "We'll squeeze every drop out of you".
What? At least it'd be an honest political campaign!
The linked site seems to be under a very heavy load. Can't think why.
... under some sort of legal obligation to mirror the page under these circumstances?
I want to get off.
mine's the long brown coat
I think that's what's she's counting on.
QUICK, SOMEBODY STOP HER!!! She's sexually exploiting herself and creating an affront to the dignity of women and the population in general (we think).
Won't somebody think of the children!
...to ask whether you're spelling "Menorka" right...
The shabby mac, thanks...
(according to the linked site anyway)
Check the coat icon...? It made me smile :)
Epic fail of gag comprehension, Mr AC
Menorca y Mayorca, two islands off the southern coast of Spain. Their names come from "menor" and "mayor," which mean, as you can imagine, minor and major, respectively.
...just a bit of harmless titillation, nothing uncons-tit-utional.
OK, I'm going!
only one I can think of is Caroline Flint ...
That's a bit hard.....
Great job guys. Now I can't get image of some of our politicas in that kind of pose out of my mind...especially the greens. They mostly look like they've already been composted anyway.
Do not watch if you have just eaten.
For some strange reason, as soon as that image appeared on the screen, my dog started barking like hell. Even stranger, when I cleared the screen, he shut up.
keeping abreast of European politics.
Not quite as "In Yer Face"...., ...., ...., erm, sorry... mind was wandering there... but it reminded me of a political advert from a busty German politician in Angela Merkel's party showing a picture of both of them in low-cut dresses flaunting their wares with the caption "WE HAVE MORE TO OFFER!"
Made me laugh anyway. :)
can i vote for her?
By that second photo, she appears to be something of a sub.
Before voting, I'd want to know more about who was 'pulling her strings'.
This approach has worked well for some Italian ladies with political aspirations: Mara Carfagna, Ilona Staller, Nicole Minetti, etc.
