iPhone 5 design drawings spied on web
Engineering schematics for the upcoming iPhone 5 have slipped out onto the web. That's certainly what the white-on-black wireframe pictures are claimed to be by Asian site iDeals China to be. iPhone 5 design Source: iDeals China They drawings are said to have been produced for case makers to give them a basis on which to …

This has been confirmed. They were going to try and use PalmOS apparently, but HP woudn't let them.
but...
Will this include instructions for how to hold it? ... oh no, sorry, my mistake, that was a software glitch wasn't it, did they ever patch that?
It was fixed ...
I believe the end-users were re-programmed with proper instructions as to how to hold the device.
Fixed
Yes, the antenna issue will be fixed. Why? It has a waistband now to protect the iPhone from users holding it wrong.
meh....
What it wont come with is a realistic price tag. Even my macbook Pro owning partner is looking at android units to replace a Nokia (that hasn't lasted well) and has discounted the bruised fruit as being ridiculously expensive for what it is.

faceplate
the fact that it uses the same faceplate as the recently leaked one makes no odds. you'd be able to fit that faceplate on an iphone4 style back or an iphone3/ipodTouch type back.
It looks like....
....a phone.
Stop the presses!
Seriously, how can ANYONE care about this? It's a wireframe drawing that looks just like any other phone on the planet.
Can we get back to the real news please?
re: it looks like a phone
No it doesn't.
It looks like a touch-screen pocket computer that happens to be able to make telephone calls almost as an afterthought.
highly suspect
Tim Cook already said, on stage, at the VZW launch event, that the next iPhone was a "radical shift" and had "significant engineering differences" and was "really exciting." A new model looking almost exactly like the current does not jive with those public statements. I call BS.
Shift?
No matter what they do, it will always be a big screen with some buttons around it.
Well, maybe not always but, at least, until it can be fold
Apple Continuum
Yes, but this is the Apple time-space continuum where the law of physics and, most importantly, user-thought don't apply. People will still dump their iPhone4 for the iPhone5 on launch day, even if it only has the craptastic bump of a dual-core Cortex A9 (oh yeah, Apple A5) processor and an iOS update. (yes, iPhone4 will get the same update, but will they care? not likely)
how about...
the screen is the same size and the surround has been shrunk due to adding the band around the outside? This way the overall dimensions of the phone remain the same, thereby not upsetting people who have cradles, cases, etc for the iPhone 4.
Then again, since when did Apple care about change the design?
Stop reporting obviously fake leaks
The faceplates from before are obviously photoshopped.
Considering the white iPad 2 has a white menu button, it is highly doubtful that they would go for a black button for the iPhone.
There is no way that this can be genuine.
